Speaker Biography: 

Jeff Schiefelbein, serves as the Co-Founder and Chief Culture Officer in an energy advisory firm called 5.  Jeff’s firm has received numerous accolades including 5 consecutive appearances on the Inc 5000 fasting growing companies list, and various best place to work accolades including multiple listings on Texas Monthly’s Best Place to Work list and Fortune’s Best Workplaces in America list.

Jeff earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Texas A&M University with a focus on entrepreneurship.  During college, Jeff turned a big mistake into a major positive by creating CARPOOL, the nation’s largest college safe-ride program to reduce drunk driving.  In 21 years of operations, CARPOOL has provided over 290,000 free, safe, and nonjudgmental rides to students in need while expanding to dozens of other schools around the country.  For his work on CARPOOL, Jeff was featured on ABC’s Volunteers Across America and has won numerous awards, including the National Daily Point of Light Award and the Texas Governor’s Volunteer Service Award. 

He is the President of the Board of Trustees for The Highlands School in Irving, Texas, and a member of the Board of Trustees for The Catholic Foundation. He is also a motivational speaker and the host of a Catholic radio show on the Guadalupe Radio Network.

The OYYACM always seeks to ensure our formation offerings have an extra touch that goes above and beyond the normal experience. In a spirit of Radical Hospitality, all attendees will receive via mail a specialized package intended to elevate and compliment the experience of the day.

Audience: Basecamps accommodate up to 20 participants and welcome all Youth, Young Adult, and Campus Ministry Leaders (full-time, part-time, volunteer), Ministry Team Volunteers/Catechists, and any Supervisors, Priests, Non-parish Organization Representatives, and other Parish Ministry Leaders that find the presenting topic relevant.

Please consider registering as soon as possibleOnce the 20 slots are filled the registration form will no longer be available.  You can email Julia at jquezada@cathdal.org if you would like to be placed on a waitlist.  Also, we ask that if you register and are no longer able to attend the online formation offering please inform Julia, so that someone else may be able to attend.
