Josh, St. Mark
Newcomer to the Dallas area, Joshua Denil is the new Middle School Ministry Coordinator for St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in Plano. Coming from North Carolina, Joshua graduated from UNC-Greensboro in December of 2018 with a double bachelor’s in Information Systems and Social Work accompanied by a minor in Religious Studies. During his time in the Diocese of Charlotte, he served as a catechist, 4th Degree Knight of Columbus, President of UNCG’s Catholic Campus Ministry (2014-2017), Master of Ceremonies for Liturgies at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church (2015-2020), and Program & Activities Assistant for Youth Ministry at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church (2019-2020). Interestingly, his first job after college was at the Greensboro Science Center, an affiliate of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, so he is happy to answer any questions about African Penguins, sharks and stingrays, or turtles and tortoises.
Joshua and his fiancée, Crystal Alvares, are excited to begin their new life in Texas. Crystal, in particular, is excited for the Texas sun as she says it will remind her of her home in Nagpur, India. Their wedding date is set for November 14th, 2020 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Greensboro, NC.
