Speaker Biography:

Michael Raia, is the president of Studio io Liturgical Design Consultants and leads a small team of Catholics who are passionate about beauty and renewal. After some twelve years of managing various religious and institutional projects for an architecture firm, he felt called to pursue a graduate degree in liturgy and attended the Liturgical Institute at the University of St. Mary of the Lake (aka Mundelein Seminary) in Chicago, where Bishop Barron was rector at the time. In 2018 he founded Studio io and has since been blessed to serve over 50 Catholic clients with design consulting, beautification, and construction planning projects. A core component of the firm’s mission involves liturgical catechesis, and Michael has presented to building committees, parish missions, youth ministers, students, graduate classes, seminarians, deacons, and priests. He is currently pursuing further studies in a dual Master of Theological Studies and Master of Sacred Arts through Pontifex University. He is a native Texan and currently lives in Austin, where his brother Fr. Jonathan Raia serves as the chaplain and director of the campus ministry at their alma mater, UT. Michael and his fiance Hannah are preparing for their wedding next fall and would greatly appreciate your prayers!
